Meg – Journey Review

The first thing I noticed about this mini-album is how laid back the music is. Compared to an earlier single which was full of hard electronica, this release is much more subdued and is the perfect background music for work or study.

Fans of the Jpop genre will definitely want to give this a listen. The inclusion of a lot of different styles, mainly a jazz/swing tone on some of the songs make the album a great pop record.

A lot of the songs are sung in English and the vocals are mostly easily discernible rather than a lot of broken English that emerges from Japanese singers. It’s a little difficult to find a comparison to the United States, and that’s what makes Japanese and South Korean pop music so interesting.

I’m sure that indie pop fans would enjoy this album because it retains a lot of simple beats and mellow tones.

Give it a chance, and I’m sure you will be surprised at how much it doesn’t offend you.
