Chococream Rolls – Self-Titled Review

chococreamChococream Rolls reminds me of Weezer. This self-titled album released in 2003 by this three piece band follows a lot of the same instrumentation of the Blue Album.

Constant strumming of the guitar with a following bass line and simplistic drumming that still creates a multi-layered album.

I think if both the Blue Album and Chococream Rolls were split over speakers, the albums would sound very identical. The tempos don’t reach much faster than 100 to 110 beats per minute, crafted directly to enter the indie rock genre and doesn’t do much to expand the genre.

This self-titled is very much like another standard entry into the genre, but doesn’t amaze the listener at all.
