Taru (타루) – R.A.I.N.B.O.W. Review
Taru might be the closest thing to MEG from Japan, with electronica backgrounds over jazz lounge pop vocals. The tracks all kind of blend together, not from unoriginality, but just that the music itself is pretty similar. How many synth tracks can there be?
The album is not perfect, sounding like many of the other produced Kpop grounds out there. And apparently she is one of the vocalists for The Melody, which makes a lot more sense of how both albums connect together. I could guess that Taru is one of the main writers of the music itself, because a lot of the jazz-influenced tracks come out on her album.
R.A.I.N.B.O.W. is interesting and a nice compilation to the The Melody’s self titled release.
