Itta – Re: Pops! Review

coverThis album is probably the first album that I’ve listened to that contained an electronic instrumental background with airy vocals combined with rap guests from Korea. The music reminds me of Nujabes of Japan and the rappers who guest on the majority of the tracks also echo the releases of Nujabes.

But even with the comparisons, the tracks on the release are well constructed and interesting. Though I wish the tracks had also been released without the guest spots because I think an album like that would have also been good, if not a little more interesting.

While the majority of the album is hip-hop and rap, the instrumentals in the background are the most impressive because they cross different genres while maintaining the theme for the release.

Re: Pops! is something to give a try, though it may not agree with everyone.
