I admit right now, Lee Hyori’s It’s Hyorish is entirely a guilty pleasure. It’s interesting because she has become a brand in Korea since she went solo and maintains a big presence on television.

It’s Hyorish though is a good mix of standard pop tracks and different genre songs. I wouldn’t say Lee Hyori has the best voice I’ve heard in Korean music, but she does know how to utilize it to her advantage. It’s Hyorish is very much a snapshot of the time in Korean pop since she took a different approach with this album.

The album does show her versatility and abilities, even for a pop album. It will be interesting to see what she does with her upcoming album and return to music.
