Yellow Machinegun – Yellow Bucket Review

Yellow BucketThere is something refreshing in listening to punk rock after listening to the pop sounds of a country. Yellow Machinegun is a girl punk band who play grungy, distorted punk rock. And it is excellent.

Using the classic formula of short songs with quick tempos and straight-forward delivery, Yellow Machinegun tapped into the punk genre at the time before it was washed with media influence. Yellow Bucket doesn’t hide anything or attempt to be the best punk album every, and that is part of the reason why it is so good.

Japanese punk has always felt a little behind the United States in style, and in many ways that is what can make it better than the US counterpart. That shows with Yellow Bucket.
