The Apop – She Is Gone, But Her Ghost Still Haunts Me Review

apoppOn a six song EP, it’s hard to imagine how The Apop created these six songs. With the same melodic screamo that Vanilla Unity and 14 Left use, The Apop do it better. She is Gone.. feels a lot more fresh and honest. Though there are a lot of cliche’s of the genre, The Apop’s EP is catchy.

I think the mixture of genres other than the melodic screamo work well: rock and pop punk are included in a couple of the tracks. Considering the EP was released in 2008, it still feels fresh in 2010.

The energy that emerges from this release show a lot of promise for the band, and if they can evolve from this EP to something better than that’s all the more impressive.
