toe is another Japanese math-rock band that falls under the “amazing” classification. The basis for a lot of how well math-rock is executed has to be placed on the drummer, and in the case of toe, it is astounding to listen to the talent that they possess.
The track, “esoteric” is among my favorites on the album because it has a specific groove that continues through the song, but the drumming on the track itself cannot be compared with any other band that I have heard.
The constantly moving snare rhythm in the verse is simply amazing, and I can’t believe that the tempo can be performed during the 4:15 length of the track.
The thirteen tracks are a must listen for any musician because they teach a lot about music composition and performance all at one. For Long Tomorrow is an eye-opener for Japanese music.
