메이트’s 2009 album left me a little sour with the band’s music, which I thought was a little boring. Their 2010 mini-album, with Mate, is a much more dynamic release which kept my interest. Their harmonic and melodic rock is catchy and has a nostalgic rock tone to it. I do think that 메이트 has tons of talent and my opinion of Be Mate could be time-related.

Though this release has a lot of variety in the songs and keeps things moving, even with the mixture of influences in the songs. Even with this being released in 2010, I feel that it would also have a home in the mid-90s because the songs have that older rock theme.

I will have to go back and listen to Be Mate, but with Mate is a good listen, beyond what I thought it would be.
