It’s hard to believe that 3호선 버터플라이 has been around for ten years since this first full-length. The music has evolved a lot since Self-Titled Obsession and that’s not to say they evolved in a positive or negative way, the music has just changed.

But considering this as their beginning, 3호선 버터플라이 have always had a lot of talent in their music. Self-Titled Obsession is much more rock than indie, and I would even consider the album having a darker more 90s angst sound to many of the tracks.

Then also, the more mellow songs do appear like a foreshadowing of where 3호선 버터플라이 eventually moved to. Self-Titled Obsession is an important album for 3호선 버터플라이 and for any fan because they can see how the band matured in their sound.
