골드러쉬 (GoldRush) – Self-titled Review
When I first saw the album cover to 골드러쉬’s self-titled album, I thought that it might be interesting. From the first track, I was blown away at the ability of this band. Pushing rock and punk themes through their music and including a double-bass drum performance that doesn’t feel added unnecessarily, 골드러쉬 have an early lead on one of the best albums for 2010.
They have a similar style to Japan’s Ellegarden, but actually succeed on many levels. While the music has a nostalgic pop punk sound from some years ago, 골드러쉬 keeps it interesting by using the energy they have and pushing it through their performance.
I’d be hard pressed to name a band that impressed me so quickly and the album has become a standard for listening through, at least twice a week.
