비둘기 우유 (Vidulgi OoyoO) – Aero Review

aeroWhile I’m not too sure of what the “shoe-gaze” genre really entails, I’m pretty sure that 비둘기 우유 is a part of that because it doesn’t meet the math-rock requirements. The 2008 album is impressive for a mainly instrumental album, not pushing too many sonic boundaries; but creating landscapes that can be appreciated by almost anyone listening.

The album also sounds like an indie movie soundtrack, the scenes of traveling or the time-lapse flashback type of scenes. It borders on the same emotion wavelength of the OST for “All About Lily Chou-Chou” where Japanese singer Salyu performed as the fictional Lily Chou-Chou singer of the movie.

The tempo of the music to the themes that it gives off is opposite of what is expected and that is what makes it that much more interesting.
