Things as of: Monday May 24, 2010

Today is the last day of reviews for the week. I got sidetracked with News.GotGame.com and reviews: which I’m sitting 4 deep right now. News posts take about 15 to 20 minutes depending on if they have pictures or longer if there is video I have to download and put up on YouTube.

I do enjoy seeing that the site is still being read on a daily basis, around 20-30 visits a day. It’s not a huge amount for any other site, but seeing anyone read here is a nice pick me up. I realize that I’m a bit of a technophile, some more than I should be, but everything I own serves a purpose other than my dust-collecting Nintendo Wii.

In less than a month, I’ll be in Los Angeles for a week covering the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) seeing upcoming video games and meeting with various PR people while hopefully attending a bunch of after parties. It’s funny because I’m not getting paid for GotGame.com, but it has some good returns.

So during the week of E3 there will be reviews, but probably not the week afterward. I write my reviews a week in advance to the day they post, so if I’m not at home or working, the next week there won’t be a post.

Otherwise, I’m usually working the usual 9-5 and coming home, writing music reviews, writing news posts, and then playing review copies.

My gf told me this past weekend that she couldn’t believe that I couldn’t find a job with all the abilities and knowledge that I have. My response was that I don’t know the right people. That’s probably the biggest truth when it comes to finding a new job.

But can’t keep using this spot to complain.

Though if you do happen to read the reviews, please leave a comment or suggest music that I might have not covered so far. With 242 reviews, it’s probably difficult to go through and see if I haven’t covered something, but any suggestions are appreciated.

Till next week or maybe even tomorrow.

Thanks for reading.

Damn, lucky. I miss LA like freaking crazy you have no idea.

Here’s some people I can recommend:
- Nami Tamaki
- Mai Kuraki
- M-FLO
- Son Dam Bi
- Plastic Tree
- Audio Safari
- Yasushi Yoshida
- Akira Kosemura

Do it to it, Lars.

I’ve listened to a bit of Nami Tamaki and Mai Kuraki. I used to be big into M-Flo and have most of their albums. Son Dam Bi is good, but sometimes boring. The other four I will have to search for.

You’re sometimes boring too, but see how I’ve managed to forgive you for it?
Yes, consider them!
