제피 (Xepy) – Pandora Disc Review

xepyAfter listening to the more pop side of the hip-hop and rap genres, I found myself wondering more about the “grittier” artists of the genre. I found that with 제피 which is much more “urban.”

Featuring twenty-one tracks, it’s a long listen even with the “Interludes” that are scattered throughout the album. Each track features guests and I’m not sure if the album is more of a producer who calls on others to perform over the tracks, since I couldn’t find much information.

Otherwise the album is an interesting listen because it has a lot of different performance styles, but I’m not sure it would interest casual hip-hop/rap listeners. I do think the album contains a good range of music and opens the door to more exposure to the styles that aren’t highly publicized.

I heard 3 tracks off this album and they were all a lot of fun. I think it’s one of those little-known treasures. I daresay, I quite like it!
