Jinn – Engine Review

As always, when it comes to bands that have female vocalists; I’m a sucker for listening to them. Fortunately, Jinn presents a nostalgic Japanese rock EP that borders on punk and rock. It’s a good EP in that it presents a good sample of what the band can do.

Jinn really do play a more recognizable pop-sensible rock that can easily be applied to an anime show which in some ways is a detriment to the sound of the band because the arrangements of the song provide a lot of noticeable places where the song can be cut short.

But in Engine, there is enough of a variety to see that the talent the band has can expand beyond the normal Japanese rock genre.
