As always, Korean electronica gives something different than the more recognizable Western brand of the genre. With Kafka’s mini-album, the band presents six strong tracks that a few different sides of music. While some tracks are a little lighter, others fall into a bit more industrial in their arrangements with harder beats and tones. It reminds me of some Japanese electronica acts.
The only real sad part of the release is that it is short with the six tracks and makes me want to find more of their music to compare how this mini-album is to their full length releases. The Most Beautiful Thing might not be more of the electronic rock that bands like The Ratios play, but it has a lot of talent shown through the music.
