While I originally thought that the re-release of 태양’s Solar as an international album would just feature the same tracks re-recorded in English, but surprisingly, the album features a mix of new songs and English-language tracks.

The new tracks create a new theme to the overall album, creating a bit lighter album that still contains the strength of 태양’s vocals and impressive arrangement of songs.

The English versions of “I’ll Be There,” “Wedding Dress,” and “Connection” are some of the more impressive tracks, not because they’re in English, but they have a strangely different feel even though they are the same songs, save for “Connection.”

More and more, it makes me believe that 태양 could do well as a solo artist with his mixture of pop and R&B with his music.
