2NE1 – To Anyone Review

2NE1′s first mini-album took a large style change from other Kpop girl groups. Focusing on a hip-hop sound with multiple rappers, a chorus-friendly singer, and a versatile singer/backup rapper. The strengths of the group are well known with each member being able to perform each song that is presented.

Unfortunately, the album is too focused on the leader’s rapping and songs that are repetitive. The start of the album has a lot of catchy tracks, but they stop having variety. The latter of the album has all the singles that were released by individual members.

The album is still different enough from other Kpop girl groups, but even with their differences, they still fall into the trap of using a style to overshadow their talents.
