Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas – Burn the Disco Floor with Your “2-Step” Review

It’s strange to hear such a new North American style from a Japanese band, but Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas have accurately mimicked the electro-punk-screamo style that has emerged recently in their three track EP.

The music is hyper-kinetic and carries a lot of energy, but it does sound too much like a copy of the genre that appears to be more about style than musicianship.

Even though the music is fun to listen to, the genre is too constrained to be able to expand beyond what has been established with prior bands.

Fear, and Loathing in Las Vegas are something to listen to, even if it is a bit less than serious, but hopefully they will be able to expand their sound before listeners have moved on from the genre.
