Enchanted Landscape Escape is one of the later albums by World’s End Girlfriend that I have heard. Each album is a little different in tone and feeling, and with this album, it’s much more experimental. With a much more ambient sound to the album, it almost could fit a survival horror video game or movie.
It doesn’t have a lot of melody like other his other albums, but there are some interesting pieces inside the songs. In terms of theme, it is feels like a combination of loss and sorrow, without a real sense of hope.
I’m not sure what the direction of the album was supposed to have, but while it’s not one of my more favorite albums by World’s End Girlfriend, it is another interesting listen, depending on the mood of the listener.
