In terms of the album releases for World’s End Girlfriend, Farewell Kingdom comes after Ending Story and carries a bit more electronic and synth elements to the orchestral arrangements. It is strangely focused even with many of the tracks not having a direct relation to one another.

When listening to the discography of World’s End Girlfriend, there is a definite trend in styles that overlap as he moves from one to another. Farewell Kingdom shows where he would head with Hurtbreak Wonderland and The Lie Lay Land, but change with Seven Idiots.

Not every track is as interesting as the next, but the flow of the album is expertly conceived.
