박정현 (Lena Park) – Come To Where I Am Review

I never head of Lena Park, but thought it might be an interesting listen. Combining ballad, pop, and indie sounds together, her sixth album Come to Where I Am, is a really good Sunday listen.

The sons all have great melodic elements, combined with some of the more pop standard accompaniments. With the 2007 release, it shows that Korea has some great singers that might not be as well known as others.

There is a good mix of English and Korean, finding out that Park was born in the United States and then released albums in Korea and Japan.

With such a history, the album does have a international feel to the music. It’s an example of good American-influenced Korean R&B.
