Island City – 아일랜드시티 Review

Island City’s 2010 release is a strange outlier to Korean rock. Foremost, the vocals have a very specific tone with the vibrato and a not quite on key tone. But with that sound, the music of Island City is really good. The eleven track album has some good rock tracks that sound different enough to show something a little different.

Though 아일랜드시티 does have some radio-friendly songs that could be applied to commercials, the album as a whole is a good listen. It might not be totally amazing, but it still stands high enough to be worth listening.

The album seems to sway from rock tracks to lighter ballad tracks, but it does show a good number of sides to the band.
