Polysics – Absolute Polysics Review

I first heard of Polysics through Asian Man Records. A Japanese representation of more modern New Wave, Devo-inspired music, the Polysics have been creating music for quite some time.

It’s been some time since I listened to an album, but the band continues to make their signature sound and recognizable music with synth and what feels like top-speed tempos.

There is a bit more melodic elements to the music on this release than before, when it came to releases; the sound was very sporadic and songs appeared to come together by chance.

Absolute Polysics won’t change the mind of any listener who doesn’t like their sound and will just continue the excitement of the fan base that the band has. Though with the loss of a member, I’m curious to know how the music will change.
