강건너 비행소녀 (Flying Across the River) – Self-titled Review

Flying Across the River takes hints from mid-1990s alternative rock from the United States and elements of current ballad and indie music from Korea. The tempos are slower, but not plodding and the vocals contain a small amount of syllable lengthening. By that, I mean they verses are extended a bit more.

There is a nostalgic feeling with their music, it’s not entirely a new interpretation of the music, so it does sound familiar. Ending 2010 with this EP isn’t a bad way to go, but the songs all have too much in common.

The band needs to explore and experiment a bit more and become stronger as a cohesive group
