국카스텐’s new EP is a strange evolution to from the original recording to the re-recording to his EP. Their sound is even better in this recording and their abilities as musicians have even improved.

Even with the re-recording, Tagträume has much more energy and polish than expected. The first two tracks are some of the strongest songs of Korean rock that I’ve heard during 2010.

The latter of the EP has one acoustic song from their debut, an electronica version of one of the original songs, and another song with the same title as the EP. Overall, it’s a strong presentation of where 국카스텐 might be heading in the future.
