I don’t remember exactly when I heard 파니핑크 for the first time. I do remember that I enjoyed the album, but some time later, I forgot I never talked about it.

Mr Romance is a great introduction to Korean indie music. It’s recognizable to wider audiences for the calm female vocals, the mixture of synth-pop and more acoustic band presentations, and the variety between tracks that still hold a recognizable theme throughout the songs.

For the first time listener, it’s a wonderful lesson on how open music can be for musicians. Mr Romance is one of the classic Korean indie albums, necessary to pass along to other listeners.
