AMWE – Girls Review

AMWE’s Girls is a cover album of some well known bands. Taken from their original styles and inserted into Japanese electro-pop, each song still contains the recognizable elements while transferring it into the different style.

It’s a eclectic mix of music, from indie rock to dance club to songs that I’m not entirely sure where they came from; the album feels like the same idea that Danger Mouse’s Grey Album had: take songs and show your talent with existing music.

The good thing about the music is that the electro-pop is catchy and even makes songs like “Groove is in the Heart” fun to listen to. I would like to hear some original music from AMWE, but the cover album is interesting on it’s own.
