Fleet – Transit Review

Japanese indie has a lot of facets. Each musician/group bring their own style and ideas expanding the genre. Fleet are probably the first band that plays a style that is instantly recognizable to listeners of United States indie pop rock.

Transit contains melodic messages in the instrumentals and the vocals glide smoothly over each statement and verse.

Each song presents a different message in the style. “Transit” is a strictly instrumental, layering synth and strings together creating a very different tone from the other songs.

The flow of the album features highs and lows and the songs with the band are definitely good. The breaks in-between show a different side that sounds like it’s going to be explored.
