about tess – Song of the Bird Review

Its difficult to think of having a release having four songs and the shortest being twelve minutes and the longest being twenty-four, but about tess’ Song of the Bird does just that.

The band creates another technical and complex album with the release and again accomplishes creating long songs that still makes sense with an overall direction.

While other math-rock bands might utilize white noise or silence in their songs, about tess play through each second of these songs making me wonder just how difficult it was to create these tracks or were they just playing together and moving in different directions, feeding off each other.

It’s another impressive album.
