Big Bang – 4th Mini-Album Review

I’ve listened to G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Seungri along with G-Dragon and TOP’s individual releases. Each release was strong in their own way, but I was interested in seeing how their sound would be with their return on the 4th mini-album.

The five true songs are a mix of all the styles that each member used individually. The issue is that while older tracks seemed to have a better amount of each member taking the stage, the release feels like G-Dragon and TOP take center stage while Taeyang, Seungri, and Daesung are left to cover small verses and the chorus.

In one way, the release is more rap-prominent than melody, but compared to other releases, it still has a different club-mix feel.

I do enjoy the release, but more equality might have made the release stronger.
