Rip Slyme – Bad Times Review

Rip Slyme’s Bad Times is another compilation of tracks in a two CD set. The two discs feature one disc of B-sides and another chosen by fans.

It’s astounding that Rip Slyme continue to release music and this release shows just how much they have produced during their careers. The music contains their recognizable hip-hop, groove based and distinct rapping from the four backed by some of the most smooth beats.

Considering one disc is B-sides, it’s interesting to hear what didn’t make it on albums or were included just on singles. There is a definite trend in their music ranging from more simplistic beats that focus on the verse delivery and others that feature the instrumentals.

The two disc cover thirty-two tracks. A lot to listen to. It might not be the best place to start, but a damn good release.
