로로스 (Loro’s) – Pax (팍스) Review

I find Korean shoegaze a difficult genre to find music for. While the genre can quickly merge with post-rock, there are some great bands who focus specifically on the genre.

Like Dream(s), Pax is a much more customary album with twelve songs, a bigger addition of vocals, and an overall more recognizable band sound.

There is a larger presence of piano and cello as well, and with the more standard song structure, the band moved slightly out of the shoegaze genre and into indie rock. But it’s just as good.

Even with that change, Pax is still an amazing album. All the elements of the band merge into songs that create an image in the mind that I have only found similarly in Apollo 18.

Listen to 로로스. You’ll be a better person for it.
