소울 다이브 (Soul Dive) – Bad Habits Review

I wasn’t thinking much about 소울 다이브 when I first found them. The intro track was another introduction to nothing, something that is a little annoying about Korean hip-hop albums, but from the second song “War Music,” 소울 다이브 had me hooked.

A mix of bass-heavy beats and interesting samples, the actual vocal delivery has a distinct American influence. This actually makes the music a lot stronger because it’s not a pantomime, but a great performance.

Containing ten songs, three of which are remixes with different guests, Bad Habits shows another great artist of Korean hip-hop. Even though the album moves through different sub-genres of hip-hop, it remains interesting and a great listen.
