FLiP was a Japanese all girl rock band that I found online and was immediately impressed by their skills playing really strong rock music. Kaatoniago is a 2011 single containing two songs.

Their rock style is a mixture of recognizable Japanese rock plus older slight garage rock. The two songs aren’t straight 4/4 presentations, moving through the verses with a singing tempo that overlaps the music.

It’s impressive that the band hasn’t fallen into the expected pop-rock style that many female bands use to gain popularity. Kaatoniago is great, but I wish the release had more than just two songs.
