Jizue – Bookshelf Review

It’s not too difficult to find bands that focus on the instrumental side of things. Jizue was a band that I found when searching for similar bands to Toe. Playing a instrumental-focused jazz rock, Jizue use the standard band setup while including the piano.

Somewhat like Mouse on the Keys, Jizue are consistently pushing the tempos of their songs with layered and accompanied playing throughout the whole band. It doesn’t sound as highly technical as other bands, but there is a definite large amount of talent with the band.

The nine songs carry no lag and flow from one statement to another during each song. It’s the perfect album for fans of the instrumental type.
