Neonethy – Memento Review

From the first track, it’s easy to realize that Memento isn’t like other expected electronica genre albums. “Tinny Piano” starts off with a groove beat that continues throughout the whole song. There is a lot of repetition in the song, but it thankfully doesn’t lag at all.

The album is different from others because it has a more club beat style. It’s not bad, but it sounds a lot like video game soundtrack music.

Not that this is a negative, but I started to lose interest while listening through it. A strictly instrumental album, there is a good variety in the tone of the tracks, but they are all based in the same idea of beat based songs.

I wish there was a little more to the album because it borders on interesting, but as it stands, its just a bit average.
