The Aprils remind me most of a “standard” sound for music from Japan in the electro-pop genre. The upbeat tempo combined with vocals running through a synthesizer, sounds like Jpop.

But The Aprils don’t sit in just that genre, other songs have a club feel to them. Each song has a very determined sound and purpose. The band has a lot of talent to produce songs that sound perfect in the genre they are creating it in, even though their overall style might not exactly be the same.

Back to the Future Music is an interesting album, but will connect more with fans of the genre.
