Big Bang – BigBang2 Review

Big Bang is one Korean Kpop group that has a lot of success in Japan. BigBang2 is more of a conglomeration of songs that were released in Japan in conjunction with the fourth mini-album in Korea.

Some of the stronger singles were re-recorded in Japanese and included in the release, many of them already released. The album does work overall because the addition of the Japanese and English vocals add a different dimension to the songs.

I actually enjoy the Japanese releases with the English additions a little more than the official Korean releases. Big Bang’s sound has become a little more electronica/club beats with their upbeat singles, but their slower songs do have that older sound.

It’s essentially a re-release in the form of an official album, but it’s still impressive.
