downy – mudai (1st) Review

downy are known through their albums for only naming them mudai. Otherwise, the band has some crazy instrumental tracks featuring a minimal amount of vocals.

It almost seems like the band is speaking more through the complex and technical songs that they perform rather than speak through vocals.

The band is borderline math-rock, post-rock, and rock. The recording of the songs sounds a bit raw, but the energy pours through the recording even on the slower songs.

Mudai (1st) features ten tracks, all of which are impressive and the album released in the early 2000s; almost becoming a predecessor to the post-rock genre before many other bands.
