National Pigeon Unity – Root Review

As a huge fan of Empathy, I had many expectations of how Root would sound. Even though it’s a departure from their debut album, Root is even better. It shows how the band has grown (not in members), but musically.

Root is a more focused album with each strum of the guitar and performance of the drum kit having purpose during each beat of every song.

The album is perfectly arranged with each song blending into each other, making different statements with the music.

The band did move away from their punk/rock mixture from their first album, but I prefer the sound that Root has. It makes a bigger statement and elevates the band higher than others in the genre.
