niumun – the beginning of everything Review

The main difference between niumun and other math-rock and post-rock bands is the prominent use of the saxophone.

2006 brought the beginning of everything and for the year that it released, it is an interesting combination of more jazz-infused instrumental rock than other bands of the genre.

The use of the instrument isn’t on every track, and the ones that do not feature it are a bit more interesting in the complex rhythms that are performed.

In many ways, the songs that feature the saxophone are a bit weaker than the songs that just feature the band with guitar, bass, and drum kit.

niumun are a good instrumental band, but they don’t have the same addictive songs of other bands.
