Wes H.Q – Dim The Light Review

I’d never heard of Wes H.Q before, so his 2009 album Dim The Light was a total first listen.

Overall it’s a mellow album, that focuses on the vocals over instrumentals. His voice is a bit husky with not quite perfect pitch, but his emotion through delivery fits the music.

There is some repetition on the album because each song carries similar tones and even though some songs favor different beats and rhythms, his vocals tie each song into each other.

It’s a good album, a little too mellow for me; but another strong release for Korean indie.
