ミドリ (Midori) – Shimizu Review
When Midori released Shimizu in 2007, it actually had a different sound than previous releases. Featuring a more prominent piano, the band moved a little bit past their noise-centric sound.
In strange ways, the band became a punk styled post-rock band that utilized math-rock to create a entirely different sound that was also the same. It’s a difficult evolution, but the band became much more precise in their insanity.
Shimizu isn’t my favorite album, but it does still contain a lot of crazy moments.
