I believe the Shinsekai was the last album from Midori before they disbanded at the end of 2010. Featuring ten more tracks, the sound of the band strangely evolved from a little bit less insanity to more melodic craziness.

The piano became more prominent on the album, making its presence known a lot more than on previous albums. The album also became a bit more jazz influenced with the drumming and piano combination.

Essentially, Shinsekai is the swan song for the band who decided to continue their sound with a slightly different direction that was a large step away from their original presentation.
