The Koxx is a band that I didn’t hear anything about and was more interested in the description of the band being “rock/electronica.” It sets the tone for the band, who have a strangely futuristic 1980s new wave rock combination of sound.

That is the difficulty with the eleven track album, it sounds old but fresh. The energy of the album is among the top that I’ve heard recently, Access OK could be one of the best party CDs.

There are so many bands exploring different sounds and themes, The Koxx have found their sound and honed it to a fine point. Access OK is a must listen for 2011.
