Art-School – Love/Hate Review

It’s difficult to put Art-School in chronological context because I’ve listened to their releases out of order. But the period of 2000-2005 are my favorite years for the band. Love/Hate released in the middle of that period, 2003, and contains a lot of recognizable songs.

The album might contain some of my favorite songs by the band like “水の中のナイフ” and “モザイク.” The style on the album is a mixture of rock and what-sounds-like-but-isn’t combination of rhythms that somehow mix perfectly together.

Containing fourteen tracks, it’s one of the strongest albums by the band, showcasing their then signature sound. Art-School are part of the long history of Japanese rock, and this album is a classic.
