I’ve been a long time fan of Straightener. Every time they release something new, I seek it out to see where the band has gone in their music.

Their self-titled album is a natural evolution to the music. Their single prior to the release of the album was great, and I didn’t know it would lead up to this album. There are songs from their Stout release that are on the album along with the singles.

Straightener’s Japanese rock is very distinct and while before they played with faster tempos, this album is a big slower, but much more dense. It’s an incredible release and one of my favorites for the band.
