I listened to Elika’s Monochrose mini-album more to branch out a little from the core musicians that I listen to regularly.

The first song “봄날의 밤” sounds like an OST ballad. Usually with OST songs, I take with a small bit of humor but the vocals on the track were impressive.

Going through the rest of the six tracks, I found a very surprising and strong variety of songs. There are songs that fit right in with Korean indie and others sound like a visit to past styles and genres. Monochrose shows off Elika’s versatility with her voice very well.

I would like to hear a full indie-themed album.
