oh sunshine – Self-titled Review

The first thing that I noticed about oh sunshine is that their sound isn’t exactly fitting with Japanese rock standards.

A garage rock sound comes out from the seven song release. It reminds me more of United States alternative rock rather than anything released in Japan. Strangely enough, that is the strength of oh sunshine. It sounds to similar that it becomes a fun listen.

There is also a classic rock tone that comes across in the music. Essentially, oh sunshine is the mixture of both Japanese and United States rock.

It works well for the release, but I’m interested in listening to something more substantial because their self-titled sounds like an experiment rather than first release.
